Jeffrey Dahmer was found guilty in 1992 of killing 15 boys and men between 1978 and 1991, and he also admitted to killing two more.

Since then, Lionel has acknowledged in the public that his son’s behavior showed red flags even as a young child.

Lionel, an 86-year-old chemist, has mainly avoided the spotlight in recent years. He has, though, appeared in public on occasion and even written a book about his experiences as Dahmer’s father.

Lionel Dahmer: What does Jeffrey Dahmer’s father do for a living?

Jeffrey Dahmer’s father, according to the reports, is Lionel. In the years between 1978 and 1991, a serial killer, sex offender, and cannibal named Jeffrey killed and mutilated 17 men and boys. Speaking of Lionel back then, he was an analytical chemist.

Dahmer was detained and found guilty of second-degree sexual assault in 1989. According to the FBI, he was given a year’s term at a work release camp and was freed in 1990. He was given a five-year probationary period.

According to a letter he reads in the 2020 film “Jeffrey Dahmer: Mind of a Monster,” Lionel wrote to Judge William Gardner urging the judge to keep Jeffrey in prison because he thought his son required further mental health therapy.
