American singer Linda Maria Ronstadt, who is now retired, has performed and recorded songs in a range of genres, including rock, country, light opera, the Great American Songbook, and Latin.

Her birthday was July 15, 1946. In addition to two Academy of Country Music Awards, three American Music Awards, three ALMA Awards, and one Emmy, she has won 11 Grammy Awards.

Numerous of her albums have been certified as gold, platinum, or multi-platinum both domestically and internationally. She has also received nominations for a Tony Award and a Golden Globe. Let’s meet Linda Ronstadt’s siblings:

Gretchen Ronstadt

Gretchen (Suzy) Ronstadt O’Brien was the sister of Michael Joseph Ronstadt, singer Linda Maria Ronstadt, and a brother who is still alive. She was the daughter of Gilbert Dalton and Ruth Mary Copeman Ronstadt.

Murray Audre O’Brien, Gretchen (Suzy) Ronstadt O’Brien’s husband, as well as Robert and James Cowley, Gilberto Jacome, and their kids, predeceased her.

She is survived by her daughter Erin Gilmore (a student at Douglas High), son Federico Jacome (Julie), grandchildren Jacob and Leah Jacome and Matthew Wallace (Theresa) and their kids, siblings Peter, Linda, and Michael Ronstadt, and ex-stepchildren Natalie Johnske (David), Suzanne Jacome, and Alex J. Jacome.

Michael J. Ronstadt

Michael J. Ronstadt was born in Tucson on August 26, 1953. He was the youngest of Gilbert and Ruth Mary Ronstadt’s four children, who also included Linda, their older sister.

His sister compared him to Gyro Gearloose from the Donald Duck cartoons, and she recalled how her brother and Jim Brady, who is now the proprietor of a well-known Tucson recording studio, ran a cable radio station when they were 9 or 10 years old and developed numerous inventions, including a hang glider.

After getting his GED in the middle of the 1970s, Michael J. Ronstadt moved to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career in music. He worked at the renowned Westwood Music store during the day and went out solo and with his band in the nights.

Peter Ronstadt

Peter Ronstadt was born in Tucson on February 1st, 1942. son of Ruthmary (Copeman) and Gilbert Ronstadt.

Education

The University of Arizona awarded Peter Ronstadt a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969. Certified peace officer, Arizona Police officer, major Tucson Police Department, 1963–1981; various roles as a patrolman, detective, sergeant, Lieutenant, and captain; head of police since 1981. Tucson’s Salvation Army board of directors.
