Lily Safra illness: What disease did Lily Safra have?

The 67-year-old Safra had Parkinson’s disease in an advanced stage.

She owned the famous Villa Leopolda on the French Riviera and has a sizable art collection. Safra was recognized as having US$1.3 billion in fortune and was placed #1756 on Forbes’ list of the world’s billionaires in 2018.

Her projected net worth as of June 2022 was $1.3 billion.

When she married the financier Edmond Safra, she had a keen interest in charity, which she has maintained through their Foundation even since he passed away in 1999.

Lily Safra was on the Museum of Modern Art’s Chairman’s Council.

Safra paid £65 million (US$104.3 million) for L’Homme qui marche I, a life-sized bronze sculpture of a man by Alberto Giacometti, at an auction in London on 3 February 2010.

The acquisition became one of the most costly pieces of art, as well as the most expensive sculpture ever acquired.

Safra committed €10 million in April 2019 for the repair of Notre-Dame de Paris following the fire.

She will be remembered for her wonderful life.
