The well-known Kumawood actor and musician LilWin’s wife has come forward to address her contentious TikTok tweet in which she described herself as a “single mother.”
When Maame Serwaa claimed to be a single mother on TikTok in January, it raised speculation about marital issues. She had mentioned that it was difficult for her to work in the US and care for her three children.
Rumors that LilWin was cheating on her with other women and that their marriage was in trouble were fuelled by the post. In response, Maame Serwaa stated that her husband’s activities did not bother her.
On February 25, 2024, Maame Serwaa’s birthday, she refuted rumors of marital issues in a social media live broadcast.
She added that she needed God’s blessing for her hustling because it was really difficult to be her children’s only guardian in a distant nation.
She also blasted the internet users and bloggers who misrepresented her remarks and implied that she wasn’t pleased with her husband.
“There’s a reason why I said what I said. If you’re the only one looking after the kids in this country, it’s the same as being a single mother. Anyone who lives abroad knows that living in the United States as a single mother is very difficult.
“That’s all I said, but bloggers and people on social media ran with it and painted me like I had said something bad,” she stated.
She expressed her pride in LilWin and stated he was doing his job.
She did, however, note that caring for the kids alone herself wasn’t simple.
“I have to take care of the children and their well-being; from their eating to their schooling, it’s all on me, even if my husband does his part as the man of the home. Being the sole one to work and take care of the children is difficult, she admitted.
After two years of marriage, Maame Serwaa and LilWin have three children together. Maame Serwaa’s previous marriage to Lil Win produced stepsons as well.
