Ghanaian actor and producer, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has recently made headlines for a statement released by his management that was riddled with grammatical errors and poor diction.

The statement, which announced the suspension of LilWin’s media tour ahead of his movie premiere in Kumasi, sparked outrage on social media, with many expressing concern that it could damage the actor’s reputation.

However, LilWin has since responded to the backlash, revealing that the poorly worded statement was actually intentional. In an Instagram post, he explained that the statement was released to generate buzz for his upcoming movie, “A Country Called Ghana.” The actor shared that he wanted to see the reaction of Ghanaians and noted that it served its purpose by garnering attention.

Despite the controversy surrounding the statement, LilWin has resumed his media tour and encouraged Ghanaians to show support for creatives in the industry.

According to Lil Win, the statement was deliberately structured that way to get public attention and promote the premiere of his movie ‘A Country Called Ghana’ in Kumasi. #kwadwonkansahlilwin #acountrycalledghana #ghanatiktok🇬🇭 #ghanatoday
