Ghanaian actor and producer Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, recently caused a stir on social media with a poorly worded statement released by his management.
The statement, which announced a suspension of LilWin’s media tour ahead of his movie premiere in Kumasi, was riddled with grammatical errors, poor diction, and incomplete sentences.
Social media users were quick to express their outrage over the statement, criticizing LilWin’s management for the lack of professionalism and the potential damage it could cause to the actor’s brand and reputation. However, LilWin took to Instagram to clarify that the statement was intentionally released with errors to generate buzz for his upcoming movie, “A Country Called Ghana.”
In his Instagram post, LilWin explained that the negative reaction from Ghanaians was expected and served the purpose of promoting his movie.

According to Lil Win, the statement was deliberately structured that way to get public attention and promote the premiere of his movie ‘A Country Called Ghana’ in Kumasi. #kwadwonkansahlilwin #acountrycalledghana #ghanatiktok🇬🇠#ghanatoday
He further urged Ghanaians to support creatives in the industry and eschew negativity. Despite the backlash, LilWin has resumed his media tour and is gearing up for the premiere of “A Country Called Ghana” in Kumasi on May 25.
