Lil Wayne is the stage name of Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive who was born on September 27, 1982. His career began in 1995 when, at the age of 12, rapper Birdman signed him to Cash Money Records, making him the label’s youngest artist. Wayne became the face of Cash Money Records from that point on until June 2018, when he parted ways with the business. He has frequently been mentioned as one of the best rappers of all time. According to XXL, he is one of the most influential hip hop musicians of his generation.
Although Wayne (then known as Baby D) only had an appearance on three of the album’s tracks, it was recorded by him and labelmate B.G. (then known as Lil Doogie) in 1995 and published that year. With Cash Money labelmates Juvenile and Turk, Wayne and B.G. soon founded the southern hip-hop duo Hot Boys. In 1997, they also released their debut album, Get It How U Live! Following the release of the album Guerrilla Warfare (1999) and the song “Bling Bling,” The Hot Boys gained popularity.
