Li Haotong’s dominant performance in Munich continued on Saturday, as the 26-year-old extended his lead ahead of the final round on Sunday.
The Chinese star shot a course-record 62 in the first round on Thursday before carding back-to-back 67s to move to 20-under par heading into the final round on Sunday.
Haotong is three shots ahead of the second-placed Thomas Pieters in the race for the $2.5 million prize fund.

Off the course, he happens to be the son of Li Jingao and his sweet mother who is his biggest fan. Nearly five years ago the mum of Chinese golfer Li Haotong had the rest of the field in stitches at the French Open after her pond retrieval went horribly wrong.
