Leigh Anne Tuohy is an American businesswoman and interior designer who was born on August 9, 1960. She is well recognized for being Michael Oher’s adoptive mother.
Both the 2009 feature film The Blind Side and the 2006 book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game highlighted their narrative. Sandra Bullock, who won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her portrayal, played Tuohy in the movie.

She was the daughter of Virginia (1939–2018) and Stanley Roberts, a U.S. air marshal, and was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She has one brother named Stanford Roberts, as well as two nephews named Bradford and Wade.
She had a close relationship with Virginia “Virgie” (Collins) Cummings, who resided with her family, as a young girl. She obtained her diploma from Memphis, Tennessee’s Briarcrest Christian School.
She earned her degree at the University of Mississippi in the early 1980s, where she also joined the Kappa Delta sorority, cheered for the Ole Miss Rebels basketball team, and met her future husband, Sean Tuohy.
