Leigh American interior designer, businesswoman, and author Anne Tuohy later turned to motivational speaking after becoming well-known.
She is best recognized for being Michael Oher’s adopted mother, an offensive tackle in American football.
Their remarkable tale is discussed in Michael Lewis’ 2006 book, “The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game,” which was later adapted for the big screen in the 2009 biographical sports film, “The Blind Side.” At the 2010 Academy Awards, the film received a Best Picture nomination due to its enormous popularity.

Leigh While attending the University of Mississippi, Anne Tuohy met Sean Tuohy, whom she eventually married in 1982. He made numerous records while playing basketball with the Ole Miss Rebels, some of which he still holds.
They are the adoptive parents of Michael Oher and have two biological children, a daughter named Collins and a boy named Sean Jr. Collins runs the successful cookie company Whimsy, while Sean Jr. participates in basketball for the Loyola Greyhounds. After she started The Making it Happen Foundation, her own interior design company, Flair I, was put on hold.
