With a convincing victory at the Amex Stadium on Super Sunday(September 4), Brighton aggravated the problem at Leicester and put more pressure on Rodgers following a summer of unrest at the team.
With five straight losses, Leicester City has just a point from six premier league games. Despite grabbing the lead early on the south coast, they were well outplayed by their opponents.
This defeat has unquestionably placed Leicester City’s boss in the spotlight following the poor performance in his team’s first six games. When asked if the Leicester board had given him assurances about his future, Rodgers responded:
(I’ll continue to do my work, come in and study, and do as much as I can because I’ve never asked for it or desired it).
( I’ve never turned work down, coming in early and late at night. And until someone tells me differently I’ll continue to do that. I won’t back down from the challenge) Brendan Rogers added.
