Ghanaian defender, Leeroy Owusu, showcased his skills once again as he provided an assist in Odense BK’s recent match against Viborg in the Danish Superligaen. Despite his efforts, Odense BK unfortunately suffered a 2-1 defeat on Saturday afternoon.

The head-to-head record between the two teams prior to the match showed five wins for Viborg, seven for Odense, and eight draws. However, in this particular game, it was Viborg who came out on top.

Owusu played a pivotal role in the match, starting at the Energi Viborg Arena and staying on the pitch for 82 minutes. Although both teams had equal possession, Odense BK managed to create more shooting opportunities throughout the game.

In the 12th minute, Odense Boldklub’s Max Fenger scored the opening goal with a right-footed shot from a difficult angle on the right, finding the top right corner of the net. The assist for this goal was provided by none other than Leeroy Owusu himself.

Despite the early lead, Viborg was able to level the score in the 51st minute with a left-footed shot from Jakob Vester finding the center of the goal. Anosike Ementa provided the assist with a headed pass.

The comeback was complete for Viborg in the 76th minute, as Magnus Westergaard scored a left-footed shot from very close range, with the ball once again finding the center of the goal. Anosike Ementa provided another assist with a through ball.

Owusu has been a key player for Odense BK this season, making 28 appearances in the Danish Superligaen and providing a total of five assists so far.

Despite the loss, Owusu’s performance in the game once again highlights his talent and importance to the team as they continue to strive for success in the league.
