Lee Owen Tinsley was an American professional baseball outfielder who played for the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, and Philadelphia Phillies in Major League Baseball from 1993 to 1997. (MLB). Tinsley was most recently the assistant hitting coach for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball.

On July 26, 1991, Tinsley was traded by the Athletics to the Cleveland Indians for Brook Jacoby (along with another minor leaguer). Through 1992, Tinsley was a member of the Eastern League’s Canton-Akron Indians. To finish the 1992 season, he was promoted to the AAA Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

Tinsley was claimed off waivers by the Seattle Mariners on September 21, 1992. Tinsley spent the majority of 1993 with the Calgary Cannons of the Pacific Coast League, where he hit.302 in 111 games. On April 6, 1993, Tinsley made his Major League debut against the Toronto Blue Jays, pinch hitting in the fifth inning and staying in the game to play left field. Tinsley walked once and struck out once in two plate appearances.
