The Black Stars and other national teams have been doing poorly for a long time, and protesters supporting the “Save Ghana Football” movement are calling for the resignation of football administrators because they believe they are incapable of fixing the problem.
This is because the Black Stars lost the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations early, which is frustrating because it was the team’s third big event in a row that they were unable to go past the group stage.
In the past five years, the Ghana Football Association, under the direction of Kurt Okraku, has been searching for a new Black Stars coach.
The protest, which started in Accra’s Obra Spot, is expected to travel via Asylum Down and the Greater Accra Regional Hospital before ending with a petition being delivered to the Ghana Football Association’s offices.
Before ending the demonstration at Independence Square, the demonstrators stated that they intend to continue their march to the Ghanaian Parliament.
