Lawmakers in Massachusetts to give $500M tax relief proposals
The Legislative leaders in Massachusetts announced on Monday, July 11, 2022,  to give a $500 million tax relief package.
This package includes increases in credits available for older representatives, lower-income workers, parents, and others with dependents.
The package was announced at a time when residents are under pressure from high inflation.
The main goal and aim are to provide the necessary economic relief to residents in Massachusetts.
The Senate and other leaders were pleased to announce this to the general public about the tax relief package.
The Senate together with the house has agreed to a framework that changes the tax code.

This will go a long way to reduce income inequality, make Massachusetts more competitive nationally, and lessen the impact of rising prices and inflation.

The tax proposals together with the economic relief payments are for middle-class residents.

This brings the Legislature’s taxpayer relief package to $1 billion, the statement said.

The legislative session will end on July 31.
