Lawrence Michael Sawle AM was an Australian first-class cricketer and Australia national cricket team administrator who died on July 26, 2022.

He was a patient opening batsman for Western Australia from 1954-55 to 1960-61.
In 1955-56, he led the winning fight to rescue the Sheffield Shield match against New South Wales, scoring 109 not out.

Sawle had a remarkable career as a state selector from 1961-62 to 1979-80,[4] then as a senior WACA administrator, director of the Australian Cricket Board, and national team selector from 1994 to 1997.

Sawle collaborated with Allan as a state selector.
