Laurene Powell Jobs is an American businesswoman and executive who was born on November 6, 1963. She established Emerson Collective and XQ Institute and serves as their chair. Powell Jobs lives with her three children in Palo Alto, California. She oversees the Steve Jobs Trust and is the co-founder and former CEO of Apple Inc. She is Steve Jobs’s widow. She has recently been a major donor to politicians from the Democratic Party.
Powell Jobs was raised in New Jersey’s West Milford. In 1991, she earned her Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Steve Jobs gave a lecture titled “View from the Top” at Stanford Business School in October 1989. As a brand-new MBA student, Laurene Powell snuck to the front of the lecture and struck up a conversation with Jobs, who was seated next to her. That evening, they ate dinner together. On March 18, 1991, they tied the knot in a Yosemite National Park ceremony at the Ahwahnee Hotel. Zen Buddhist monk Kbun Chino Otogawa presided over the wedding.
Reed, their son, was born in September 1991. Erin and Eve, their daughters, were born in 1995 and 1998, respectively. Lisa Brennan-Jobs, Steve’s daughter from a previous relationship who was born in 1978, is also Laurene’s stepdaughter.
