Famed for her faultless performances in the well-liked TV shows West Side Story, A Journal for Jorden, and Halston, Lauren Yaffe is an accomplished actor, producer, and novelist. Role-playing prodigies are her speciality. The well-known performer has no interest in becoming well-known.
Lauren also likes to write picture books and works of literature for kids. Her favourite method of spreading her enthusiasm for the environment to children is through her work. She regularly teaches vermicomposting to elementary school students and toddlers in exchange for her time. She was able to find satisfaction in her work as a novelist and children’s picture book author.

“Change in Light” and “Tears,” two poems by Lauren, will be published in the Willow Review’s spring 2012 edition. The Peter K. Hixson Memorial Award from Writers’ Relief was given to her in July 2011. It is titled “A Woman of Letters” and may be found in the Altered States Anthology. The Beloit Poetry Journal nominated her for a Pushcart Prize in 2010.
