Lauren May Hemp is a professional footballer from England who currently plays for FA WSL team Manchester City. In September 2016, she was crowned England Young Player of the Year, and in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022, she was named PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year.

She helped the Lionesses win the Euros in 2022.

Amy Hemp is the known sister. According to ESPN, Amy Hemp plays for Norfolk Women

Her elder sister, Hemp was chosen by UEFA as one of the ten most promising young players in Europe in January 2020. She scored her first four goals for England in a national record 20-0 triumph over Latvia on November 30, 2021.

Hemp was named to England’s squad that won the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 in June.

In front of over 87,000 fans, Hemp’s corner was hammered home by teammate Chloe Kelly to create the winning second goal.

Hemp was raised in North Walsham, Norfolk, and went to Millfield Primary School and North Walsham High School. She became interested in football at an early age and began playing for North Walsham Youth FC, a local team.

Her youth career began with Norwich City in 2008, where her sister Amy also played. She played her last game for Norwich in 2015, however, she remained with the club for the 2015-16 season.
