Lauren Opal Boebert is a politician, businesswoman, and gun rights activist from the United States.
She is a member of the Republican Party and represents Colorado’s 3rd congressional district. Boebert is well-known for her support for gun rights, particularly following a spat with Beto O’Rourke over the ban on semi-automatic guns. In the 2020 election, she began a bid for Colorado’s 3rd congressional district.

Boebert was born in Florida to parents who relocated to Colorado when she was 12 years old. She dropped out of high school and began working for a drilling firm, where she met her husband. They collaborated to create Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado, where employees were encouraged to openly carry weapons.
Boebert was a member of the conservative Republican Study Committee, the right-wing Freedom Caucus, of which she became communications chair in January 2022, and the pro-gun Second Amendment Caucus in Congress. She has declared her run for reelection in 2022, and she is the current Republican contender for the seat’s Republican lean.
