A Catholic school in the Wechau district of the Upper West Region, Lassie Tuolu Senior High School, recently faced a devastating fire outbreak that destroyed its multipurpose hall.
This hall served as a vital space for various activities such as dining, church services, assemblies, and examinations, impacting the school’s operations and the daily routines of its students, especially the final-year students preparing for their WASSCE.
However, the school received a ray of hope from its old students, specifically the 2005 year group, who rallied together to raise ¢15,000 in support of their alma mater. This generous donation was handed over to the school’s headmaster and staff, providing much-needed relief as the school strives to continue its educational activities amidst challenging circumstances.
The representatives from the 2005 year group presented the donation to the headmaster and staff members of Lassie Tuolu Senior High School, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the support during a difficult time.
They also appealed to other year groups to follow the example set by the 2005 batch and come forward to support the school in any way they can.
