Throughout his Hollywood career, Lahmard Tate, an actor, frequently appeared on screen. With movies like “Barfly” (1987) starring Mickey Rourke and Faye Dunaway, “Across the Tracks” (1991) directed by Ricky Schroder, and “Jason’s Lyric” (1994) starring Allen Payne and Jada Pinkett Smith, Tate launched his acting career.

On the television special “Without a Pass,” he played a part (Showtime, 1991-92). The television film “Seeds of Tragedy” also included him (Fox, 1990-91). His early acting career also included work in television, including a role on “Roc” (Fox, 1990-94).

He proceeded to perform in films including “Panther,” a dramatic adaption starring Kadeem Hardison, “Don’t Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood,” a comedy starring Shawn Wayans, and “Breakfast of Champions,” a dramatic adaptation starring Bruce Willis (1999). Additionally, he appeared in the television films “Sabretooth” and “Little Richard.”
