Kyler Murray was born Kyler Cole Murray in Bedford, Texas, on Thursday, August 7, 1997.
He is the third-generation Korean American son of Misun Henderson and former Texas A&M quarterback Kevin Murray.
Calvin Murray, his uncle, was a baseball player for the Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, and Texas Rangers, and Devin Duvernay, his cousin, is a football player for the Baltimore Ravens.
Murray was chosen first overall in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma, where he won the Heisman Trophy.
