The National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Patrick Juszczyk was born on April 23, 1991. The Baltimore Ravens selected him out of Harvard, where he played college football, in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
The birthplace of Juszczyk is Medina, Ohio. While attending Cloverleaf High School in Lodi, Ohio, he played tight end for the Cloverleaf Colts in high school football.
Juszczyk was predicted by several experts and scouts to be drafted in the third or fourth round after graduating from Harvard. Out of the 94 available fullbacks, NFLDraftscout.com graded him as the top fullback. Juszczyk completed all the requisite drills and positional workouts at Harvard’s Pro Day despite not being invited to the NFL Combine.
Juszczyk was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round (130th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. Of the three fullbacks selected in the 2013 NFL Draft, he was the first. Juszczyk became only the eleventh player in school history to be selected in the NFL Draft, becoming the first fullback selected from Harvard. Only Isaiah Kacyvenski, who was picked in the fourth round (119th overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft, was selected with a higher number in the history of his school.
