Polical Song writer and sympathizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) , Kwane A Plus is calling for support from other players in the entertainment industry to arrest and prosecute President of the Musicians Union of Ghana, Bice Osei Kuffour.
According to him, the MUSIGHA President upon his assumption of office have failed to account for monies the union have made with regards to programs they have organised.
He said: ” Obour has failed to account to us how much we spend on musigha events organization, proceeds from such events as the Ghana Music Week and the Musigha Grand Ball and how the money is used if any”.
A Plus questioned the whereabout of some monies given to the union by the outcome NDC government and called on Obour to come out clear on the number of musicians who have travelled Abroad and returned under his tenure.
“Obour must tell us how much of the two million Ghana cedis tax payers money meant for creative arts came to him/musigha and how the money was disbursed. Obour must tell us how many people musigha has taken on foreign trips and how many of them have returned to Ghana over the years. “
Kwame A Plus expressed his disappointment at the Obour led administration for failing to put the building housing the union in good shape although they have rented out part of the building to a Church.
“Obour must explain why even after renting part of our office building out to a chyrch, the union has not been able to put even dirty oil on the building as paint and has left the musigha building in such a dilapidated state.”
Bice Osei Kuffour has come under several attacks from industry players including Shatta Wale who thinks he is not working in the interest of the people he claim to be representing.
