Swiss-born Ghanaian striker Kwadwo Duah and Ghanaian winger Bernard Tekpetey were key players in Ludogorets Razgrad’s dominant 2-0 victory over Arda Kardzhali in the Bulgarian First Professional League. The game, which took place at the Huvepharma Arena, saw both Duah and Tekpetey start the match, with Duah playing until the 77th minute and Tekpetey staying on the pitch for the full 90 minutes.

Leading up to the match, Ludogorets Razgrad had a strong head-to-head record against Arda Kardzhali, with 6 wins and 4 draws. On the other hand, Arda Kardzhali had yet to secure a victory against Ludogorets.

Despite Arda creating some chances early on through Borislav Tsonev and Stanislav Ivanov, Ludogorets took control of the game. Although Tekpetey missed an early opportunity, Ludogorets managed to break the deadlock in the 32nd minute. Ruan provided a great pass to Rick, who then crossed the ball for Duah to score with a header, leaving Arda’s goalkeeper Gospodinov with no chance.

Just 10 minutes later, Ludogorets extended their lead. Tekpetey swiftly passed to Jakub Piotrovski, who finished with style to make it 2-0. Arda’s troubles continued in the 53rd minute when substitute Hristo Mitev was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge, resulting in them playing with 10 men.

Ludogorets kept pressing for more goals, with Duah missing another chance and Gospodinov saving Son’s shot from the left. Duah has been in fine form this season, scoring 10 goals and providing 4 assists in 19 games. Tekpetey has also been influential, scoring 8 goals and assisting 4 times in 27 matches in the Bulgarian top flight.
