Kurt Klein was an American soldier who died on Friday, April 19, 2002. He immigrated in America during the deadly Nazi massacre.

His family exchanged hundreds of letters with him until August 1942, when were sent to Auschwitz.

Many of them documented their never-ending struggle to reunite with him in America.

Kurt began translating this communication in the late 1980s for further studies.
