Ghanaian highlife and afrobeats star Kuami Eugene has been caught in another copyright infringement scandal — and this time, it involves the work of Nigerian afrobeats musician, Omah Lay.
The Lynx Entertainment label star is currently promoting his latest album ‘Love & Choas’. And he’s dropping singles off of the project to create hype around it.
While his ‘Monica’, the hottest track so far from his album, is earning all the praise, another track from the album called ‘Yolo’ has been criticised heavily.
The massive criticism for the ‘Yolo’ song comes after the slow-tempo afrobeats single was compared to Omah Lay’s hit single ‘Reason’ and somehow had one or two elements in it.
It is alleged by online copyright police that Kuami Eugene’s ‘Yolo’ and Omah Lay’s ‘Reason’ share a similar rhythm and flow.
Listen to Kuami Eugene’s ‘Yolo’ and Omah Lay’s ‘Reason’ below and be the judge.
