When Plummer was in kindergarten, a relative introduced her to football by taking her to a park in Annotto Bay to watch the game.
This sparked Plummer’s interest in the sport. At the age of 11, Plummer joined a boys’ team in St. Mary and began playing for Rangers FC. Two years later, he was the club’s captain.
Garfield Fuller, vice-president of the Portland Football Association (PFA), assisted Plummer in transferring to Titchfield High School in Portland so she could play in the Daryl Vaz-sponsored women’s football league there. She won the competition and spent two years representing the institution.
