Former WAFA standout defender Konadu Yiadom has made a return to Hearts of Oak following a disappointing loan spell at Ukrainian club, Kryvbas Kryvyi.

Yiadom, who made the move to Kryvbas in August 2023 with hopes of securing a permanent transfer, faced numerous obstacles during his time abroad. Despite the opportunity presented to him, the talented central defender failed to make a single appearance for Kryvbas and was only named on the bench twice throughout the season.

As a result of his lack of playing time, Kryvbas Kryvyi opted not to extend Yiadom’s loan deal, prompting his return to Hearts of Oak. The 24-year-old was spotted back in training with the Phobians at Pobiman on Monday, indicating his reintroduction to the squad.

Yiadom, whose contract with Hearts of Oak runs until June 30, 2025, initially joined the club from WAFA and played a pivotal role in their MTN FA Cup triumph in 2022. His comeback now provides him with the opportunity to reclaim his spot in the Hearts of Oak lineup and make meaningful contributions to the team in their upcoming campaigns. Fans are eagerly anticipating Yiadom’s return and are hopeful that he can replicate the stellar performances that made him a fan favorite during his previous stint with the club.
