Ghanaian highlife sensation, Kofi Kinaata, is gearing up to release a new EP with seven songs, marking a decade in the music industry.
The EP, titled “Kofi OO Kofi,” was initially planned to be released on his birthday, April 15, but has now been rescheduled for a release between May 3 and May 10.
In an interview on 3FM Drive, Kofi Kinaata shared that the inspiration behind the EP’s title came from his fans. He explained that the songs on the EP reflect various aspects of his life, including childhood stories, struggles, hardships, and life lessons.
One interesting point to note is that the EP does not feature any other artist, as Kinaata wanted to use this opportunity to showcase singles that did not make it to his albums. “Nobody dey top. It’s an EP, and how I like is that I want to use it to clear my songs which did not qualify for an album to free my album,” he emphasized.
Kinaata also expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their support and love for his music. He mentioned being pleasantly surprised to see fans from different parts of the country enjoying his music, including those from rural areas in the Western Region.
