Dancehall Reggae sensation Ras Kuuku has made a startling revelation about his collaboration with Kofi Kinaata on the hit song ‘Effiakuma Love’.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Ras Kuuku disclosed that his verse on the track was unexpectedly removed without his knowledge.
The talented artist narrated that he had originally laid down a smooth and melodious verse for the song. However, to his surprise, Kofi Kinaata decided to delete his contribution and re-record the track with a different tone.
Expressing his disappointment, Ras Kuuku explained, “I do not know what happened… After I did it, he went to sing it again. The first song he sang, his voice was thick and I gave him the lighter voice after listening to mine, they went and they sang it again.”
Despite feeling let down by the situation, Ras Kuuku maintained his composure out of respect for his industry colleague. “I was worried but Kofi is my brother so I kept it cool. I don’t have any issue with him, just that I had a song with him, he took my verse from it, done. That’s all,” he said.
Furthermore, Ras Kuuku made it clear that he would not entertain the idea of a remix of ‘Effiakuma Love’ if Kofi Kinaata were to approach him for one. This decision underscores the artist’s principles and respect for artistic integrity.
It is evident that this unexpected turn of events has left Ras Kuuku feeling disheartened, but his professionalism and loyalty to the music industry shine through in his response to the situation. Fans can only hope that this setback will not deter him from continuing to produce great music and collaborate with other artists in the future.
