Kristie Alley made her acting debut in the popular NBC sitcom Cheers as Rebecca Howe.

In NBC’s “must-see TV” schedule on most Thursday nights from the late 1980s through the early 1990s, Alley could be seen on Cheers.

One of the most famous characters in the annals of early comedy history was played by her as a cool-girl-turned-neurotic bartender who fell in and out of love with numerous bar clients, Boston billionaires, and the bar’s manager, Sam.

In 1991, she won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for her work on Cheers.

In her lifetime, Kirstie Alley had two marriages, although she wasn’t engaged when she passed away. In 1970, she wed Bob Alley; they were married from 1970 to 1977. She allegedly lost love for her husband, which resulted in their divorce, according to Closer Weekly. Alley’s second husband was Parker Stevenson.
