The Kintampo incident |
On Sunday, March 19, Ghana had her worst news since 2017 started. A tragic accident occurred at Kintampo Waterfalls in the Brong Ahafo Region while tourists were still at the falls.
According to reports, a tree from the top of the waterfalls fell onto the sightseers who were swimming. The reports said 19 students who were touring the waterfalls died and others injured.
Since the news hit online, a lot of people were saddened and took to Twitter to express their pain and condolences to the victims’ families. Others were questioning how the incident happened and asked for a thorough investigation to be conducted.
