Social media was set abuzz on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, with images and videos of King Promise allegedly tying the knot in a traditional ceremony.

The photos and videos feature the musician decked out in traditional kente alongside other well-known personalities such as Sarkodie, EL, DanceGod Llyod, and Efia Odo.

The viral content has caused a stir among fans, with many believing that the ‘Terminator’ hitmaker has indeed gotten married. However, upon further investigation by 3news.com, it was discovered that the ‘fake’ marriage ceremony was actually part of a music video project that the artist was working on.

A prior Instagram story from DanceGod Llyod showed the celebrities gearing up for the music video shoot. Additionally, Creative Director Soafrican had previously posted about the project with King Promise and was even dressed as one of the groomsmen for the ‘fake’ marriage ceremony in the music video. Soafrican’s post read, “on set! on my creative director grind for the boy @iamkingpromise.”

Other posts by Soafrican showcased the camera setup with King Promise seated on a sofa while singing. These behind-the-scenes glimpses offer a peek into the creative process and the effort that goes into producing a music video.
