Marion Gordon “Pat” Robertson, born March 22, 1930, died on June 8, 2023. Pat was an American media entrepreneur, Christian broadcaster, political pundit, presidential contender, and Southern Baptist clergyman. Robertson promoted a conservative Christian theology and was well-known for his engagement in Republican Party politics.
He was affiliated with the Charismatic movement within Protestant evangelicalism. He was the president of Regent University and the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).

On August 11, 2017, Robertson was admitted to the hospital after suffering minor injuries in a horseback riding accident.
Robertson suffered an embolic stroke at his Virginia Beach residence on February 2, 2018. A member of his household became aware of his symptoms and contacted emergency medical professionals.
He was subsequently rushed to the nearest stroke facility and given the clot-busting medication tPA. About eighty minutes after his stroke occurred, Robertson was attentive, aware, and moving all of his limbs.
