King Charles III, King of the United Kingdom and Head of the Commonwealth, has drawn criticism after unveiling his new cornrow hairstyle in the Bahamas during a nine-day Caribbean tour.
The King’s new hairstyle took many locals by surprise, with many unhappy about the cultural appropriation and the King shouting ‘bomboclat’ as he got off the plane, according to royal correspondent Simon Williams.
While in the Bahamas, it is reported the King kept making reference to Jamaica and constantly asked if Usain Bolt was coming to meet him anytime soon.
Coupled with the Jamaica references, the Kings cornrow hairstyle has been labeled culturally insensitive while it is also reported, the Kings joke about buying the country really upset a lot of the local folks too.
hopefully, his visit to Guyana and the other countries wouldn’t be as bad as the Bahamas.
