King Charles’s coronation has brought out the die-hard fans who are celebrating the momentous occasion with bold tattoos. Fans from all over the world are getting inked with King Charles’s portrait, the royal crown, and other symbols that represent the monarchy.
Meanwhile, King Charles is seen greeting his Ghanaian counterpart, the Ashanti King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who sought shelter under a multi-colored parasol during their meeting at Buckingham Palace. Charles also met with other dignitaries, including the spokesman for the Sacred Headwaters of the Amazon, who gave him a necklace made from seeds to symbolize an alliance with indigenous people.
The coronation has attracted 100 heads of state, including Canada’s National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, who also met with King Charles. The King’s decades of environmental work and championing of green campaigns, including fighting deforestation, were honored during the meetings.
While the King and Queen Consort’s coronation is a huge burden, according to the Dean of Westminster, Charles is said to be “relaxed and very gracious” and not at all anxious about the occasion. As the nation prepares for the coronation, London landmarks, including Tower Bridge, London Bridge, Guildhall, and Mansion House, will be illuminated in red, white, and blue from 8 pm until midnight tomorrow and Sunday.
