For her role as Samantha Jones, which is beloved by many, she has received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations. She also won the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.

Kim Cattrall was born on August 21, 1956, in the Mossley Hill area of Liverpool, England to Gladys Shane and Dennis Cattrall. Her mother was a secretary and her father was a construction engineer.
She has three siblings named Chris Cattrall, Lisa Cattrall, and Cherry Kuss. Her brother Chris passed away in 2018. When she was three months old, her family moved to Canada and settled in Courtenay, British Columbia.
When she was 11 and her grandmother fell ill, she returned to England. There, she took acting examinations at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. But after a year, she moved back to Canada.
