According to a news release from London’s Metropolitan Police, actor Kevin Spacey was formally charged Monday with four counts of sexual assault against three individuals.

According to authorities, Spacey was also charged with inducing someone to engage in penetrative sexual activity without their consent. On Thursday, he’ll appear in Westminster Magistrates Court.
Last month, Spacey claimed in a statement that he will “voluntarily appear in the United Kingdom as soon as possible and defend myself against these charges,” which he believes will show his innocence.
The Crown Prosecution Service in the United Kingdom revealed last month that two assaults against one person occurred in London in March 2005.
In August 2008, another reported assault occurred in London. In August 2008, the same claimed victim also made an allegation of sexual activity without consent.
The alleged sexual assault took place in Gloucestershire, a county around 100 miles west of London, in April 2013.
