Ketanji Brown Jackson is an American attorney and jurist who has served as a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit since 2021.

She was born on September 14, 1970 (age 51 years), in Washington, D.C., the United States to her parents –  Ellery Brown, and Johnny Brown.

On February 25, 2022, President Joe Biden nominated her to become the 116th Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court to fulfill his campaign promise to put a black woman on the court.

On April 7, 2022, a bipartisan group of Senators confirmed Judge Jackson’s nomination. It happens to be a historical day as a black female justice for the first time in its 233-year history has been confirmed to the nine-member bench.
