Ketanji Brown Jackson is a United States District Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit judge.

She graduated from Harvard University College with a bachelor’s degree in 1992 and from Harvard Law School with a law degree (in 1996).

She graduated from Harvard with an A.B. magna cum laude. She then attended Harvard Law School, where she graduated with honors and received a Juris Doctor cum laude.

According to two persons familiar with the decision, President Joe Biden intends to name Ketanji Brown Jackson to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer on the Supreme Court.

Ketajh Brown is the only brother and sibling of the judge.

Brown worked for the Baltimore Police Department from October 2001 to May 2008, and was most recently assigned to the Eastern District.

Brown is now a business attorney for the law firm K&L Gates in Chicago.

As a police officer and detective, he worked on some of Baltimore’s most dangerous streets.

Who are her parents?

Johnny Brown and Ellery Brown were her parents.

Her parents were also educators, and her father went on to law school before becoming the top legal counsel for the Miami-Dade County School Board.

Her mother served as a school principal at New World School of the Arts.

Are Paul Ryan and Ketanji Brown Jackson related?

By marriage, Jackson is connected to former House Speaker Paul Ryan.

To put it another way, Ketanji Brown Jackson’s brother-in-law (William) married Paul Ryan’s sister-in-law (Dana).
