Nepali Congress central committee member and former minister for general administration Keshav Kumar Budhathoki passed away on Monday. He was the Jhapa District President of the Nepali Congress (Democratic). In April 2008, he won the Jhapa-5 seat in the Constituent Assembly election with 16466 votes.

Keshav Kumar Budhathoki died from prostate cancer. He died in the course of treatment at the Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar late on Monday, February 5, 2024, at the age of 80 said Nepali Congress in a statement on Tuesday.
“This emergency meeting of the party’s central working committee expresses deep sorrow over the death of leader Keshab Kumar Budhathoki,” the statement read. “The party will always remember the important roles he played.”

Keshav Kumar Budhathoki is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, and grandchildren.
