The Kenpong Academy, located in Winneba, has recently undergone significant upgrades with state-of-the-art facilities and a passionate team dedicated to nurturing young talent. In a strategic move to boost the academy’s profile, Agyepong has joined forces with SønderjyskE, a newly promoted club in the Danish Premier League.
Agyepong recently traveled to Denmark to solidify the partnership with Markus Kristoffer Hansen, the CEO/President of SønderjyskE. This collaboration will see Kenpong Academy serving as a talent pipeline, preparing promising players for the Danish club and providing them with valuable opportunities to showcase their skills in Europe.
This alliance marks a major milestone in Agyepong’s vision to connect African talent with European football prospects. “We are thrilled to expand our European network, and this partnership positions the academy for remarkable growth,” Agyepong shared, highlighting his excitement for the collaboration.
During his visit to Denmark, Agyepong also had the honor of meeting Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo, along with esteemed dignitaries such as the Danish Ambassador to Ghana and Ghana’s Ambassador to Denmark. President Akufo-Addo commended Agyepong for his dedication to youth development and expressed his support for foreign clubs investing in Ghana.
As part of the partnership, Kenpong Academy will send a team to Denmark each year to participate in a soccer tournament, providing young players with exposure to European football standards. Agyepong hinted at more collaborations in the pipeline, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to securing opportunities for the academy’s progress.
