Jason Kokrak is in the news for all the wrong reasons following his epic disqualification. The 37-year-old American’s Travelers Championship came to an unusual end on Friday.
Kenneth Kokrak: Who is Jason Kokrak’s father?
Kokrak was disqualified by Tour officials for failing to record a score on his final hole and then failing to return a scorecard. This, however, is not the end of the story.
Late in Friday’s second round at TPC River Highlands, Kokrak was at even par, two shots below the projected cut line, and was likely headed home early unless he holed a 43-yard approach at the short, dogleg ninth hole.
Instead, his second shot landed “87 yards into the unknown. Kokrak is said to have not completed the hole, resulting in his disqualification, prompting many on social media to speculate as to why Kokrak did not drop and complete his round.
Jason Kokrak was born in North Bay, Ontario, to American parents; Kenneth Kokrak, and Theresa Marcotte Kokrak.
According to rumors, his father discovered his natural talent at a young age and nurtured it until he achieved success in the sport.
