Surprisingly, after a fierce argument in the parliamentary chambers, Members of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong and Sylvester Tetteh were able to make up.
The situation, which at first raised fears of a developing confrontation, has now taken a positive turn as the two MPs have put aside their disagreements following the majority leadership’s prompt involvement.
The altercation started after what seemed to be a standard greeting when Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfro MP Sylvester Tetteh attempted to welcome Kennedy Agyapong as he entered the room.
However, Mr. Agyapong, the Assin Central MP, responded angrily, and the two NPP MPs got into a verbal spat.
According to people close to the lawmakers, the majority leadership, led by Deputy Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo Markin, convened a meeting behind closed doors that was essential in easing tensions.
Agyapong and Tetteh were able to voice their concerns throughout the discussion, which resulted in a mutual agreement.
