American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer Keegan-Michael Key was born on March 22, 1971.

In Southfield, Michigan, Key was born. Leroy McDuffie, an African-American father, and Carrie Herr, a woman of Polish and Flemish ancestry, are his parents. Key was adopted at a young age by a social work couple from Detroit named Michael Key and Patricia Walsh.

He co-created and acted with Jordan Peele in the Comedy Central comedy series Key & Peele from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, Key appeared on the USA Network’s Playing House (2014–2017).
