In addition to being a politician, Katherine Moore Porter is also a professor of law and an attorney from the United States. She previously represented California’s 47th congressional district from 2019 to 2023. Porter, who was born on January 3rd, 1974, was raised in Fort Dodge, an outlying community in Iowa. Her father, Dan Porter, was a farmer before switching to banking. Her mother, Liz, contributed to the creation of Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting.
Porter, who graduated from Phillips Academy in 1993, went on to Yale University and majored in American studies. She graduated from college in 1996.
Her undergraduate thesis, The Effects of Corporate Farming on Rural Community, was written by her. Grace Hopper College, formerly known as Calhoun College, is a Yale institution that she attended.
