Kathleen Turner was born in Springfield, Missouri as one of four children of her parents – Patsy and Allen Richard Turner, a U.S. Foreign Service officer who grew up in China.
She is the third of four children, and the only one to be born in the United States. She has a sister, Susan, and two brothers who were born in China.
