On October 5, 1975, Kate Elizabeth Winslet, CBE, an English actress, was born. She has received numerous honors, including five Golden Globe Awards, an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and three BAFTA Awards.

She is also renowned for portraying powerful, complicated women in independent films, particularly historical dramas.

Winslet was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in both 2009 and 2021. She was given the title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2012. (CBE).
